JST seizes the market chance, reduces cost and increases efficiency to ensure success

  • Facing increasingly fierce competition in the petrochemical industry, JST leaders and salesmen actively visit various petrochemical companies to understand the business needs. They not only strengthen ties with existing customers, also make efforts to develop new customers. JST firmly grasps the latest trends of PetroChina, Sinopec and CNOOC various projects, such as Guangdong Huilai 20 million tons per year refinery project constructed by CNPC and Petroleos de Venezuela, Taizhou, Zhejiang 20 million tons per year refinery project and 1.2 million tons per year ethylene project jointly constructed by CNPC with Qatar Petroleum, Zhanjiang, Guangdong 15 million tons per year refinery project jointly constructed by Chinese Sinopec and Kuwait International oil company, etc. At present, most projects adopt the engineering company EPC mode. Department marketing direction has been shifted to the corresponding four major domestic engineering companies (China Petrochemical Engineering Construction Corporation, China Petrochemical Group-Luoyang Petrochemical Engineering Corporation, Sinopec Shanghai Engineering Co., Ltd. and Sinopec Nanjing Engineering Co., Ltd.).

  • As the domestic steel market is saturated and is influenced by the international and domestic situation, petroleum and petrochemical projects have been just approved but have not yet entered the substantive procurement phase. In the case of more salesmen but fewer customers, the department personnel led by the leadership of our company change their concept and actively take measures to get orders. The order quantities of “Maoming Petrochemical, Liaohe Petrochemical, Yangzi Petrochemical, Jinling Petrochemical” and other long-term cooperation business have been improved significantly than that in the previous years.

  • Until the end of September in 2012, we complete the invoicing sales of 64,000 tons. The overall billing amount is not better than that in previous years. Petrochina and Sinopec companies have taken annual framework tender pricing mechanism, and there exist “manufacturer” and “stockist” two different prices. PetroChina and Sinopec's price advantage is also revealed. On the premise of ensuring delivery, we make contracts with PetroChina and Sinopec companies and then arrange the order as far as possible. Under the premise of determining the price, we reduce procurement costs, thus form the maximum profits. When signing contracts, we make every effort to implement by stockist prices that are nine percent points higher than producer prices, so that we virtually add sales profits.
